Why is it necessary?

We provide financial support for affordable housing, focusing on low-income communities. Our organization offers housing loans, grants, and financial assistance programs to individuals and community-based groups.

Lack of Housing Loan

There is no provision for the poor to get housing construction loans from commercial banks.

Loan Challenges

To get a loan from these banks, several conditions have to be met, which are not possible for the urban poor. Such as: unencumbered land, sufficient regular income, a guarantor.

Community Loan Access

Under the project, opportunities to obtain loans for housing development for the poor belonging to community-based organizations are created.

Our Feature

Features of Home Loan

Our step-by-step process ensures meaningful change: identifying community needs, designing tailored programs, implementing sustainable solutions.

Loan amount

  • Maximum 70% of construction cost
  • Minimum of 50,000 Taka and a maximum of 250,000 Taka
  • Maximum of 250,000 Taka

Purpose of taking loan

  • Building a new house
  • Renovation/improvement of old house
  • Construction of toilet in existing house
  • Expenses incurred for securing enjoyment and possession

Loan term and repayment

  • Term: 2-5 years
  • Monthly installment
  • Directly by the borrower
  • Installment payment to CHDF

Periodic loan disbursement

  • The loan will be repaid in three installments through cheque.
  • Penalty for late payment of installments: 1% per annum on the unpaid amount
  • Prepayment fee 2% of the outstanding loan amount
